Here’s a hooded jacket that’s every bit as adorable as the special baby who will be wearing it. The primary pattern stitch is the quick and easy-to-learn Petal Stitch. Puff Stitch diamonds are worked in horizontal bands of single crochet; the diamonds may be embellished with embroidered rosebuds and leaves using Persian-type embroidery yarn. Edgings of Love Knot Stitch dress up the jacket bottom, cuffs, and hood. The jacket is crocheted using baby weight yarn and a size 2 steel crochet hook.

Gauge: 13 sc = 2 in, 9 rows= 1.25 in

4 oz of baby yarn wright, Persian type embroidery yarn (a few yards of green and pink or blue) and steel crochet hook size 2.

Yardage is not given, this is a vintage pattern.
