Diamonds at Sea
The design of this pattern is based off the starting point of a diamond. I wanted to find a way to make the diamond stand out, without a bunch of twists that can get lost in the yarn. The technique used creates elongated stitches that stand out even in variegated yarns. The cables lining the sides are to accent the center diamond. Too much variegation in the yarn will cause the cables to fade away and be difficult to see. Using a more solid or light variegation yarn will help the cables to stand out more.
