Diana’s Cowl is a long, lacy cowl crocheted as a rectangle and then seamed together with slip stitches. Each side of the cowl features a different lace pattern. One side has a ribbed look; the other side has a bumpy look. The inside and outside edgings are added to the cowl last.

The cowl is approximately 52 inches around (132 cm) and 7 inches (17.7 cm) wide.

The Lace Lux gives the cowl a gauzy appearance. When wrapped at the neck, it is very warm.

Stitches used: Chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble (triple) crochet, slip stitch.
Stitch combination: picot
Special Stitch: puff stitch
Additional skills: working in the front or back loop; working a backwards single crochet

The pattern pdf includes 7 photos. Five are up-close photos of the cowl as it develops.

Diana’s Cowl is named for my yarn shop friend, Diana, who is always fun to work with.
