Meet Diane, the second toy I designed for Woman’s Weekly!

According to Google, Diane is a… just wait while I check my notes… FISH! Only joking, she’s a ‘blue tang’. Google goes on to explain that these reef-loving creatures can be found all over the Indo-Pacific region, usually in hammocks but occasionally on yachts. Many believe that blue tangs get their distinctive colour from their blueberry muffin-rich diet but this is a myth - they just think it looks slimming. An interesting fact abut the blue tang is that it can smell an unguarded pudding from over two miles away. This increases to three miles if the pudding comes with custard…

Diane is approximately 16cm/6¼in long. She’s knitted flat on straight needles using DK yarn and then seamed using mattress stitch, making this a great project for knitters of all abilities. Even better, she has a little friend, Colin the Clownfish, so the knitted aquarium that you’ve always dreamed could now be a reality!

You’ll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by professional technical editor to ensure that it’s super-easy to follow! But, if you do get stuck, just message me - I aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours.
