I am in love with spring. The gentle light, warm air, and the pop of color that newly emerging flowers bring influenced the creation of the Dicentra Days Socks. One of my favorite flowers is Dicentra or Bleeding Heart. The lovely strings of delicate hearts brings joy to me, so I decided to immortalize its likeness in a sock.

The Dicentra Days Socks are a simple colorwork sock. It has a bleeding heart and feathery foliage motif at the leg with the foliage reflected again at the toe. This is a great sock to use leftovers as the colorwork does not use much yardage.

This pattern is written cuff down, heel flap and gusset, with a simple wedge toe on DPNs. Instructions are written with charts included for the colorwork. Most of the colorwork is two strands with the exception of ONE row with three strands of colorwork.
