Because everyone needs a teeny tiny sweater. Some of the uses (if things must have a use) are: pencil topper, thumb tack cover, keychain, ornament, pin, and I think it would be cute glued to the front of a card.
Any sock yarn will work, but I tried a laceweight and a sportweight, too. They worked fine as well. Have fun experimenting!
