Join 2nd color join any where on the hat SC around, tie off and weave in end.

Braids

Cut several long pieces of yarn the same length (about 3 foot long) Pull the yarn through any of the lower crochets at the bottom of the hat, so that equal parts of yarn are on both sides. Braid Tightly the length of the yarn including the pieces you left about a foot long. Tie with another piece of yarn. Pull the braids evenly and cuz about 1-2 inches below tie.
