A simple but elegant scarf that will have people wondering how you
made it. The easy design starts with a grid that you then work into
using surface crochet. We used a stunning gradient skein but you can create amazing effects with a single colour skein and some yarn scraps.

Materials
1 170g gradient cake of pook yarns yak/silk/merino 4ply (60%
Superwash Merino, 20% Yak, 20% Silk 170g/620m) in Burgundy Fade
4mm hook
6mm hook

The shawl as written used 140g of which approx 90g was the grid
and 50g was the surface crochet.Allow at least 150g of yarn for
this size shawl.

Tension
12 sts and 12 rows in pattern to 10cm/4in using 4mm hook (or
size needed to achieve tension.)
