For any fans of the show this is one of the most recognisable symbols and makes a striking and bold statement which suits the characteristics of knitted fabric. The motif is duplicate-stitched (sewn) after the fabric has been knit so there’s no 2-colour knitting involved. Links to tutorials are provided.

This Game of Thrones / House Stark inspired beanie has been designed in a fine gauge merino to accommodate the detail of the wolf’s head motif. Matching gauge is critical to the fit. Change your needle size or yarn if you cannot get gauge with the recommended tools.

The beanie is fully lined and reversible so you can choose whether to show off your House loyalty, or keep it to yourself and wear it inside out.

This pattern requires a provisional cast on and uses approx 215yd of MC (the background colour) and 230yd of CC (the motif and lining colour). Sample uses Patons Dreamtime 4ply and Shepherd Baby 4ply merino yarns.

You will need 2mm needles with a 40cm cable, plus a longer cable for magic looping the crown, or, 2mm DPNs. You will also need waste yarn for the cast on, and stitch markers.
