During the summer of 2020, I was asked to take part in a challenge to create a lace collar containing a message either to or about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Adapting a cross stitch alphabet to lace knit stitches (Serif Large Alphabet Chart) adding some lace leaves, a picot bind off at the top, and a chain loop bind off at the bottom, this quick to knit collar, is a suitable tribute to a magnificent woman.

Includes both charts and fully written line by line instructions.

While I would love to think that you are wearing your Dissent Collar while voting, please only do so if you are an absentee or mail in voter…I believe that poll workers will turn you away from your local polling station for wearing a collar with a political statement on it!
