Dive into summer knitting as you relax by your favorite water view! Toss your head back to soak up summer’s sun while your needles click, click, click. Abstract butterflies emerge from drop stitch cable patterns in Dive, a bathing suit cover-up that also may be worn over a tank with shorts.

The tech edited and test knit pattern is fully written with the repeats charted. The pattern also includes a blocking diagram and tying schematic.

Special Notes:
• Construct It: Dive is worked as a single long piece. The back is worked bottom up, continuing to front top down. Stitches are picked up around the neckline for a Garter stitch edging. I-cords tie the flat rectangle into a wearable top.
• Swatch It: the drop stitches make this pattern grow! A swatch, that is washed and blocked, is highly recommended as the drops cause growth in both width and length.
• Customize As You Drop It: pick which of the cable sections you’d like to drop for a custom look. Note: this will affect the final width of the garment. To calculate how much, check out the custom calculator on page 56.
• Psalm 36:5-9.
