This is a basic sock pattern, worked top-down in DK yarn on a large circular needle, using the Magic Loop method - although you could also use DPNs.

The pattern assumes that you have some experience working in the round, and doesn’t specify how many stitches to have on each needle, etc.

The pattern is easily altered to fit a longer or shorter foot, or to make a longer or shorter sock. An experienced knitter could also easily add stitches to increase the size to a man’s sock.

What you need:

  • 1 ball (100g) DK Yarn in Main Colour (MC)
  • <1 ball DK Yarn in Contrast Colour (CC)
  • Large circular needle, or DPNs
  • Stitch markers (2)
  • Darning/wool needle to graft toes
