A basic ribbed sock designed for DK yarn - so a perfect quick knit.

The ribbed pattern makes the fabric very stretchy, therefore only one size is given.

Socks up to and including a UK 7 can be knitted from 1 x 100 gram skein of The Knitting Goddess DK merino and nylon with 230 meters (250 yards) to each 100 gram skein. Larger sizes (or longer length legs) will require more yarn.

The socks shown in the pattern fit my size 7 feet and I used 83 grams of yarn.

The DK base we use for socks has changed - and I’ve been knitting lots of socks using the numbers in the pattern but changing to stocking stitch after the first 10 rounds of rib have been worked.
