PDF knitting pattern for a pair of fingerless mitts/gloves with two Dog Roses on the front of each glove. The palm sides of the gloves are plain. There is a picot edging at the bottom of the wrist rib and at the top of each glove.

The mitts in the photographs were knitted in dark grey Yeoman Yarns Sport 4ply. The roses are in Rowan pure wool 4ply in dark rose and pale pink. The flower centres are in yellow Rowan Fine Tweed and the leaves and stalks are in light lime and olive Rowan pure wool 4ply.

The gloves could be knitted in any 4ply weight wool, cashmere or cotton.

The motifs are knitted using the intarsia method, but the mitts could be knitted in plain stocking stitch and the pattern added afterwards using duplicate stitch/Swiss darning.

Charts for both left and right mitt are included, together with typed knitting instructions. The pattern is printed on Landscape-shaped A4 paper so that it can be down-loaded in one PDF.

The approximate measurements for the mitts are: 9cm/3.5” wide (unstretched and not counting the thumb), 14.5cm/5.5” long from top of rib to longest part of picot cast-off edge and 3cm/1.25”deep rib measured from longest part of picot cast-on edge. The mitts could be made slightly larger or smaller by altering the size of the needles
