This highly textured cardi uses faux cables so no cable needle is needed (and it knits up fast). Short row sleeve directions are given (it’s easy) and they are knit right on. Wide button bands accommodate 0.75 inch buttons and front pockets are big enough for essentials.
I wanted a cardi I could grab on the way out the door on a whim.
The collar is minimal, rolled, and can be worn over anything. (And the seam on the outside is intentional, adding to the rugged look.)
I recommend using a “workhorse” yarn with good depth…. Knitting for Olive was delighfully perfect for this;) I will have this sweater forever.
This is not a boring knit. About the time I was tired with one stitch, it switched to another. I think you will enjoy both the knit and wearing it. I hope so!

Ps The top front is not stockinette stitch but something equally easy.
