This sock pattern is inspired by The Simpson’s and Homer’s favorite pastry.. and his favorite saying “D’Oh!”. The picot edge is meant to look like the uranium at Homer’s work (or Bart’s hair). You can make the pattern just look like your favorite doughnut if desired. Stranded colorwork is confined to the toe, but you can easily add the colorwork band to the cuff of the sock too. This is a new heel pattern, combining aspects of my 3 favorite heels, it is knit in the round and will fit like the “ strong heel” method, with some added extra give/strench and a more durable heel.
