With a southwestern feeling, and looking a bit like a doily, this gorgeous shawl is the perfect accessory for cool summer nights or wrapping around yourself at the pool. The open pattern and breathable cotton used makes this a great summer fashion statement. Great to add a pop of color to a summer outfit without adding too much heat!

Gauge isn’t super important for this pattern, but the directions are written for a weight 4, medium, worsted weight yarn. If you use a lighter weight yarn, you’ll want to repeat the pattern a few times. Once you get started, you’ll be able to see the repeat in the pattern to continue on after my instructions end.

I used 3 skeins each of Lily Sugar’n Cream colorway Soft Ecru and Tangerine, which is about 720 yards. You will have most of the 3rd skein left of each.

A couple good substitue yarns to use instead of Lily’s are Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, Peaches an Crème, or Lion Brand Re-Up
