This cardigan and hat set is designed to be worn by the soft-bodied Waldorf style dolls that I make. These dolls are about 15 inches tall and 10 inches around. However, because of the simple construction for both of them they could easily be scaled up by adding another increase round for the hat, and a few extra stitches for the cardigan. Alternatively, they could be scaled down by using fingering weight rather than worsted weight yarn.

This set was created for Maisy, the doll, who was named after her doll mother, Maisy the girl. Evidently Maisy the doll will sometimes get up to naughty behavior when Maisy the girl is not looking. And one of their favorite pastimes is changing outfits so this cardigan and hat set were created to give them a little more variety in their life. You can read more about the whole lively situation in my blog by looking for New Clothes for Maisy.
