Domino Edging

A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns
Knitting

From the Stitch Description: “Need a fancy mask for a costume party? Two repeats of this pattern, plus the first four rows again, will make a most unusual one! Knit it in black cotton, lightly starched, or a glistening metallic yarn, and add ribbon or elastic at the sides, planning the gauge so the eyelets will fit your eyes. The eyelets may be widened and reinforced with buttonhole stitch in a contrasting color. Or--use it in the conventional way as an edging. It makes a very handsome one.”
