When I was given the opportunity to knit a hat for Halos of Hope, I immediately thought of my friend Donna, who battled cancer for many years.

Size: woman’s Medium (about 20”)
Techniques used include: knitting in the round, cabling

MATERIALS
Yarn: Windy Valley Muskox, Cashmere, 1 skein, (218 yds, 1 oz / 28.5 gm), shown in 3003 Peacock Blue
Needles: US 6 / 4.0mm 16” circular and double points
Also: a cable needle, yarn needle, and 2 stitch markers

Gauge: 23 sts & 36 rows = 4” of Stockinette stitch after a gentle blocking. Be sure to wash and block gauge swatch to ensure accurate gauge.
