Don’t Knit Alone!

WWKIP Day (World Wide Knit in Public) is Saturday, June 8th. It’s a great opportunity to visit your local yarn shop and join in the fun of connecting with friends, making new ones and knitting outside. Why knit alone when you can knit with like-minded creative friends? It’s so much fun to “talk yarn” with everyone. Many shops are participating and offering specials and prizes, too. So, grab your project, or start a new one, and head over to your LYS to knit in public.

To celebrate the day, I’d like to share a little something with you. It’s a fun scarf that may be worn crossed or fastened many ways. Try a lovely shawl pin, or sew on a few buttons near the crisscrossed edge. If you prefer a cowl, simply sew the diagonal ends together to make a circle. I wanted to stick to one skein, but if you prefer a longer scarf, by all means, grab another skein and just keep going. I hope you enjoy it!

Materials
1 skein of Louisa Harding Yarns, Giardino, 284 yards. The sample in the pictures is color #105, Violetta.
52% Cotton/48% Acrylic. Chainette/icord construction.
Or same yardage of any dk weight yarn.
Size 7 needles, circular or straight, in any length. I recommend Addi Turbo 24” circulars. The standard tip works well with this yarn.

Thank you to Katie for modeling!
