These fingerless mitts are inspired by the doors of durin from “The Lord of the Rings”. Twisted tree like cables are worked up both sides of the mitts, curled into the center of the ‘window’, then brought up to a point to frame the whole look together.
Beads are used in this pattern to represent stars, but they could be left out if you wished.

Materials:
 Fingering weight yarn
 Tapestry Needle
 Size US 1 circular needle(s) (2.25 mm)
 Beads size 6/0

Gauge: 10 stitches and 14 rows= 1 inch in stockinette stitch.

Size: One size (You can adjust the size of the mitt be reducing your needle size, yarn weight, or omitting the two knit stitches on either side of the chart (your count would be reduced by a total of 8 stitches).
