Dornröschen or Briar Rose is one of the best known fairy tale heroines. She sleeps for 100 years in a tower which is overgrown by thorny roses.
These roses bloom when the price comes to rescue Rosamond.
The knee highs are a representation of the moment when the thorns are still growing around the tower but already blooming thanks to the prince.

Size: Woman S M, L and adjustable calf sizing.

Needles: 2,5mm (US 1 1/2) circular needles.

Yarn: 500m (550 yards) fingering weight yarn main colour, Jawoll Solid Supersocks (75% wool, 25% polyamid).
3m (3.2 yards) fingering weight yarn contrast colour per rose.

Difficulty: Lace, “reading” your knitting, simple math for calf sizing.

Shown with size S and 13.5 inches calf circumstance.
