DOROTHEA is a great project with a lovely result! This layering vest spans the seasons (when worn over a light tank or a heavier top) and is versatile enough to go with casual daytime jeans or a formal evening skirt.

It’s knit as two (flat) pieces which are then joined together and showcases twisted and dropped stitches with mock cables; full-fashioned side-front increase technique ensures true fit for wearers with and without curves, too.

This vest features a V-shaped neck, cap sleeves, and optional front closure; it can also be classified as an openwork banded top, shrug/bolero, or waistcoat.

The lower body is knit sideways, while the upper body is worked upward from lower back to shoulder line and then divided into two sides that are finally worked downward to lower front. Assembly and finishing required are minimal and straightforward.
