Inspired by swirling tornados, this easy to make top is named after Dorothy, who was swept away to the land of Oz in tornados. It uses long twirly stitches to mimick the swirling winds and can be made in a couple of evenings. You can adapt the simple set of instructions to fit any size.

The recommended yarn is a chainette style DK which is fairly lofty and bouncy, giving it the feel of something more like a chunky yarn, but without the additional bulk, as its light and airy due to its chain like construction.

An aran weight yarn also works well for this pattern.
