Introducing Dorothy, an all‐season, knitted, leaf lace shell. Its simple sleeveless shape with easy‐to-remember lace pattern – a 10 stitch by 12 row repeat – is a perfect introductory project for lace knitting. Wear it sleeveless with a camisole, or with short or long sleeves beneath, allowing their color to peek through. The airy fabric pools slightly as it drapes from the shoulders to the high hip hem line. Choose sizing without ease based on bust measure. Dorothy is worked in the round, from the bottom up, until the start of the armholes where it splits and is worked back and forth. Stitches are picked up around the neckline and armholes for garter trimming. You’ll find this to be a quick knit – a fun and satisfying project!
