I hope you enjoy this pattern!! My Grandmother (Dorothy!) always knit these for her 5 Grandkids and I now use it for my 6 kids :) I LOVE it and I hope you will too!!

Her pattern called for a 4 strand yarn (which would be fingering weight) but I believe she always used worsted and that is what I use also.

I actually just knit a pair using 3 ply yarn (Patons Classic Wool Merino) and just made sure to use the larger needle size and knit a couple sizes larger and they came out great :) This pattern is really flexible and the mittens always come out awesome!

My most favorite wool to use now is CESTARI!!! So nice and durable, doesn’t pill much, and is super warm!!!
