Dorrit Collar
This multi-seasonal neck adornment provides warmth and drama. Built on a breatheable
structure, you can increase the fun and alter the style using ribbons or crocheted chains. You
may adjust the amount of warmth using these to fill (unseen) spaces or leave them open.
This crocheted ruff is inspired by the many Masterpiece Theater’s British costume dramas that
I enjoy. I made my first for my niece’s freshman winter in college and evolved this season spanning
version. Great for both indoors and outer wear, for both warmth and decoration, I
like this collar both felted and nonfelted. For felting make this 1/4 larger than your neck size.
This is 17 to 19” long (there’s a lot of stretch) and approximately 4” collapsible/squooshable
inches wide. The pattern includes suggestions for enlarging the collar.

Ruffled Cuffs
They were inspired, as Dorrrit collar was, by the many Masterpiece Theatre costume dramas
that I enjoy.
One set is shown in Knit picks Heavy Weight Gloss HWW cream,
the other is in Patons Merino.
This frilled, wool wristlet, is both decorative and warming.
Approximately 2.5” by 9” (unbuttoned, has lots of give so could fit wrists 6-8”), I think they
could also work in worsted weight cotton.
You could use a ribbon closure or button them, as shown.
Tools needed: K hook/6.5mm, yarn needle
Material needed: Heavy worsted weight yarn approximately 1.9 ounces
55 grams
Buttons or Ribbon
