The Dots and Lines hat is a single skein project that allows you to use up tiny amounts of contrasting yarn to create a colour effect of your choice.

It is an excellent beginner fair isle project, since only a small number of rounds are two-colour rounds and the pattern is easy to memorise.

You will need one 50g skein of fingering weight yarn and only a few yards of contrasting colours ( any 1-2 grams of leftovers will do).

Warning:There are quite a couple of ends to be woven in, but hey, life is not a wish granting factory.

The pattern consists of one and a half pages, the instructions for the main body of the hat are colour coded to help with colour sequence, but the file can easily be printed in b/w without loss of information.
