This mitt and cowl set were designed specifically with my almost-a-tween in mind. Her preferences were turning to more mature styles, but she is still quite youthful. Using a simple eyelet lace pattern paired with modern, chunky design elements, I’ve aimed to create something that was more mature, yet still embodied a childlike innocence.

Mitts:
Pattern is written for two sizes: child (teen/small adult); 6.5” circumference (7.25” circumference). You will need 1 skein of Quince & Co.’s Lark or approximately 134 yards of worsted weight yarn for this project. Sample mitts are shown in Sorbet and Kumlien’s Gull.

Cowl:
Cowl is one size measuring 22” in circumference and 10” deep. You will need 2 skeins of Quince & Co.’s Lark or approximately 220 yards of worsted weight yarn for this project. Sample is shown is Snap Pea.
