These fingerless gloves are fairly easily knitted and feature a beautiful double cable design running along the back side of both hands with a plain palm side. This pattern is for a classic look standard size length pair of mittens but you can easily add an extra repeat of the cable pattern on the wrist for a longer mitt.

Size:
One size fits most women with wrist circumference of between 15cm (6in) and 18cm (7in).
Total length for standard wrist glove: 21cm (8.25in).
Additional cable pattern repeat will bring length to 24.5cm (9.5in).

Skills:
Knitting in the round (magic loop or using double-pointed needles);
Cables.

Materials:
1 skein of James C. Brett Pure Merino (50g - 124m -136yds per skein) or equivalent weight yarn in your favourite brand/colour– The colour I used for the mittens shown here is Chartreuse Green (Shade PM1);
You will need 2 skeins if you knit the longer size wrist;
one 4mm (US size 6) circular needle of 60cm (24in) length or longer or a set of 4mm (US size 6) double-pointed needles;
1 cable needle,
2 stitch markers,
1 stitch holder or a 20cm (8in) length of smooth yarn in a contrasting colour;
1 tapestry needle.
