This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It knits up fairly quickly and would make the ideal gift, for yourself of someone that’s special to you. It is made up of two different diamond lace stitches both of which are both written out line by line, and charted. Although the two stitches are lace diamonds, which blend together nicely, the two stitches are nothing alike in the method in which they are knitted. Nor do they look the same in the when knitted up into the wrap. The final size of the wrap is 18 inches by 72 inches, but there are ways to vary the size contained within the pattern. There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in the colorway, Bold Red.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Jen Kelley who can be contacted at: thehulkstoy@ gmail.com, and is known on Ravelry as thehulkstoy.

I am known on Ravlery as “anewyarn123”.
