This simple cowl is perfect for those little hanks of handspun or exotic yarn as it only requires 120 yards, or about 50 grams, of worsted weight yarn.

Gauge is not critical, but if you have a limited amount of yarn, do a swatch. The cowl is fairly snug around the neck, but can easily be resized by adding multiples of 8 to your cast-on. I found that a cast on of 128 stitches made a cowl that used 100 grams and could be wrapped twice around the neck.

It is cast on using the seamless moebius technique on a 47”, 5 mm needle. A link is provided to Cat Bordhi’s YouTube tutorial for the moebius cast-on. The triangle edge is created using simple wrapped short rows. Since they are done in garter stitch, no picking up wraps is required!
