Double-Triangle Shawl. Basic Form IV by Vibeke Lind

Double-Triangle Shawl. Basic Form IV

From the book:

This basic pattern is shown in an old Norwegian knitting book “for school and home” from 1909. The shawl is formed by fitting two triangles. This method calls for casting on the number of stitches required for the two short edges and decreasing until there is only one stitch left.

This is a garter stitch shawl.

The pattern includes instructions for adding a curve to the long edge to shape the neck.

Yarn, gauge, and yardage are not specified.
