I have updated the pattern today to change the recommended yarn from a DK soft acrylic to a worsted cotton. When I laundered my prototype, it curled terribly, and re-blocking acrylic is a mess. If you wash a cotton one, you can just stretch it back into a rectangle to dry flat.

This is a smaller version of a traditional prayer shawl. A pocket cloth can be felt in or removed from the recipient’s pocket. It is to remind the person that he/she is loved by God, and the knitter prayed for the unknown recipient during construction. The pattern is based on ones available here.

I wasn’t real happy with the descending dove pattern, so I made up my own dove. It’s based on the silhouette stamped into the top of every bar of Dove soap.
