The Dover shawl crochet pattern presents a unique take on filet crochet, featuring a stair-stepped pattern with large eyelets, or “bubbles.” This shawl is worked sideways, widened with stepped increases, then narrowed with short-rows. The sparkling rayon yarn offers slinky drape to create a relaxed wrap style. Despite its seemingly labyrinthine stitch pattern, this entire project is made using only chain stitches and double crochet and produces just two yarn tails to weave in at the end!
