No matter the distance between them, nothing can stop friends from getting together. Much like the iconic Golden Girls’ theme song proclaims. we “travel down the road and back again” to gather with our friends. For annual knitting events, we travel over and over again, year after year, to be with our tribe.

This shawl is inspired by the travels that bring friends together. The design features an easy 4-row repeat creating interlocking arrows. A growing and shrinking garter section creates a biased, crescent U-shape that easily wraps around your shoulders, and stays put. It’s like a hug from a friend at the end of a long trip!

So grab 2 colors, and enjoy the journey as you travel down the road and back again! Or knit one for a special someone to thank them for being a friend!
