This pattern was originally written as a Ravelry group knitalong project for our store, Woolwinders Yarn Shop, in Rockville, Maryland. Literally hundreds of knitters have joined us to knit along on this sampler scarf on Sunday evenings during episodes of Downton Abbey. We hope you will join us on our ravelry group page or visit us on our website at www.woolwinders.com.

This scarf is knitted in twelve different sections all in one long strip, with each section building upon the previous section and being separated by garter rows. Each section is a different stitch pattern and represents a different character from Downton Abbey. You may choose to knit each section in a different color like we did, or you may knit it all in one color.

Use our colorways or bust your stash and choose your own colors and pattern placements. Making it your own is part of the fun! Enjoy!
