Stitches and Terms Used in this Pattern (US terminology)
• sc = single crochet
• inc = increase stitch
o inc 4 = putting 4 stitches into the same stitch
• dec = decrease stitch (I use the invisible or front-loop decrease)
o dec 3 = decreasing three stitches using invisible decrease method
• ch = chain stitch
• sl st = slip stitch
• sl st join = slip stitch join
hdc = half double crochet
o hdc inc = half double crochet increase (2 hdc in one stitch)
o hdc 3 inc = three half double crochets in the same stitch
o hdc dec = half double crochet decrease
• dc = double crochet
o dc inc = double crochet increase (2 dc in one stitch)
o dc dec = double crochet decrease
• sc4tog = single crochet 4 together (pull up a loop in the next 4 stitches, yarn over, then pull through all loops on the hook)
• FLO = front loop only
• BLO = back loop only
• FO = finish off
• IFO = Invisible finish off
• MR = magic ring
• whip stitch

Notes: The beginner hair version is a beginner pattern. The advanced hair leans more intermediate. The ferret also includes some intermediate stitches, but not so hard that a confident beginner couldn’t get through it.
