This detailed amigurumi dragon pattern contains 14 pages of step by step instructions and 28 progress pictures (plus several more pictures of the completed plushie) to help you along the way.

My goal is always to create patterns with as little sewing as I know how to. This guy’s limbs are crocheted into the body, and the spikes are surfaced crocheted to help speed things along.

Both dragons showcased in the photos are made exactly the same through the use of this pattern, the blue dragon is just sized down by one hook and yarn size.

The PDF pictures reference the pink dragon, which is made with a 7mm crochet hook and #6 Chenille Home Slim yarn. It measures at 13 inches from horn to foot, and 11.5 inches from wing to wing.

This pattern is advanced beginner friendly. While surface crochet, face shaping, and the technique of crocheting limbs into the body are used, the concepts are explained within the pattern. If you’re a beginner and are confused about any aspects of the pattern, please reach out to me!
