A while back I woke up to realize I’d dreamed of a knitted hat and hurried to create one just like I’d dreamed . That pattern is now called ‘Dream of a Hat’. This scarf came to be in a similar fashion though made from a daydream. The worsted weight version is the Courtney Scarf. It’s named after a young woman I care very much about. Because I’m hoping there will be no more nightmares in her future, this version, made with sock weight yarn, is the Dream Catcher! Knit one of each for those you love and want to encourage!
P.S. Men LIKE this textured scarf especially when knitted with an alpaca blend! My husband said this is his favorite design so far!
The blue one pictures was made with the Courtney Scarf pattern in DK weight.

Materials:
Yarn - Any SOCK WEIGHT YARN: The sample was made with Misti Alpaca by Tonos Carnaval, Hand Paint Tone on Tone (50% alpaca, 30% Merino Wool, 10% silk, 10% nylon) 100 grams, 437 yards
Needles - size 3 US (3.25mm)
Ring markers - 4 dark & 4 light colors
Safety pin marker to identify beginning of odd numbered rows.

Gauge: Not really that important. Most likely you’ll end up with a scarf a little shorter or longer, a little wider or narrower than mine but still of adequate size. Mine ended up 65” long and 7” wide.

Skills needed: Knit, Purl, Cast on, Bind off.
