Dig into your stash for this project! It’s is perfect for all of those soft, squishy, single balls of bulky yarn you couldn’t pass up at the store, but that are now sitting in the back of your closet because you never had just the right project for them - or was there never enough yarn in the ball when you found a great project? Either way, if you are like me, the skeins of bulky have reached insane proportions and are, quite frankly, taking up more than their fair share of my valuable stash space.
So no more hiding, bulky yarns. Today’s the day - we’re digging you out!
Find 3 skeins that look great together, grab your huge size 15 needles and whip out this cozy scarf in no time flat.
Can’t find 3 that go together? No problem. Simply substitute a double strand of worsted weight yarn - just remember you will require twice the yardage.
The bottom photo shows the scarf made from 100% bulky-weight silk. Worked in this yarn, Drei has the most wonderfully smooth drape and cool, clean feel, perfect for summer wear. Don’t shy away from silky, smooth yarns for this pattern, the result is quite different, but they will work and look lovely!
Also a great pattern for a school colors scarf!
