Provence is worked seamlessly in rounds from the top down. Knitting starts with a double-knit collar in ribbing. Once the short-row shaping on the back is done the yoke is worked. Then the fabric is divided for the sleeves and the body, the underarms are shaped. Two fit options (classic and loose fit) are provided. Then the body is knitted to the desired length, a silhouette (straight or A-line) is being shaped. After that the hem is worked in ribbing. Once the body is done, stitches for the sleeves are then picked up around the arm openings and are worked in rounds to the wrist with or without gatherings near the cuffs. The cuffs are worked in ribbing.

The sample is knitted as a dress of an A-line shaping with sleeves that have small gathers near the cuffs.

Using this pattern you may knit a sweater or a tunic as well.
