“Dressed in Yellow” was inspired by a beautiful photo of an autumn oak tree against a perfectly clear blue sky, and the photographer (alecia) had written a little caption about her “grand old oak dressed in yellow”: this shawl immediately popped into my head.

It is an interesting three-color shawl, knit in a fingering weight, light, yet still able to keep you warm. Despite the yardage, “Dressed in Yellow” knits up quickly, due to the more complex slipped stitch patterns alternating with stockinette and garter stitch.
