Have you ever wanted a small shawl just to accent your outfit? It’s too hot out there to bulk up in a heavy shawl? Or maybe you have a fancy dress for a prom or wedding where you want to cover your shoulders just a little bit but not have to fuss with holding onto the shawl? Add a pretty shawl pin to this Dressy Little Number and there you have it!

Wrap your shoulders in this delightful shoulder wrapper. It is worked all as one piece. It is fun to wear lace around your shoulders. It looks great in any weight of yarn – any type of yarn.

Directions are given for different weights of yarn to get a similar width to the shawl. If you want your shawl to be wider or narrower then follow the instructions for a different weight of yarn. You can bead this easily by adding beads to the ch-4 spaces in the border.

See the Random Pictures Section at the end of this pattern for a deeper, beaded version of the Dressy Little Number.

Overview
I rated this Intermediate because this pattern works across a row and then down the side slightly for the decorative border. You then turn and work back across the border and then the row.

Recommended yarn
Any yarn that you can steam press (acrylic or crochet cotton thread) or block. The border needs to be pinned out to get the best look.

This is a great pattern if you are familiar with your basic crochet stitches up to 3 wraps over the hook. The pattern is easily memorized so you can do this as a take-a-long project.

It comes with a QTips page so you only need to print the one page - it’s like a Cliff Notes version of the pattern. Or you can print the one page chart.
