Looking for an intuitive knit with stylish results? Drifting Diamonds is a combination of stockinette stitch and garter stitch, with simple slipped stitches creating all of the glamour. Both the length and width of this fingering weight wrap can be customized to make the most of beloved yarn.

Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply
100% Superwash Merino Wool; 400 yd/3.9 oz (365m/110g) skeins
2 skeins in main color, shown in Plover

Or approximately 780 yards/714 meters of fingering weight yarn in main color.

Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply Gradient Set
100% Superwash Merino Wool; six 133 yd/1.3 oz (121m/38g) mini skeins
One 6 mini skein gradient set in contrasting colors 1-6, shown in Fall Leaves

Or approximately 80 yards/74 meters of fingering weight yarn for each of six contrasting colors.

For a two-color version, substitute the gradient set with approximately 390 yards/357 meters of fingering weight yarn in a single contrasting color.

US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle, 24”/60 cm or longer, or size to obtain gauge

Gauge
Blocked: 20 stitches and 36 rows = 4”/10 cm square in garter stitch.

Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect yardage and finished size if different from above.
