Pattern is written to be knit in the round, preferably on a circular needle.
Stitch pattern repeats over 15 stitches and can therefore be easily adapted for width. Length is entirely up to you, but it is recommended to be no less than the distance from the top of the hairline to the nape of the neck, for maximum warmth.
An easy, but effective lace pattern; charted as well as written long-hand.
