A simple concept of overlapping rectangles, combined with Shibui Pebble yarn, produces a sumptuously soft, lightweight wrap or scarf. Go bold with strong colors to make a statement, or choose soft neutrals for understated elegance.

Suitable for an advanced beginner who is able to maintain consistent gauge with knit and purl stitches.

Knit from end to end, this design begins using a single strand of color A. Color B is later joined in, and the two colors are worked together, ending the row in a single strand of color B. This is repeated until the desired length, then finished with a complimentary section in color B.

The piece is blocked aggressively to open up the stitches and create a very lightweight, airy fabric. After blocking, the gauge expands to 19 sts, 26 rows = 4”.

The pattern is easily adapted to the knitters desired size.

This pattern is available for free with purchase of the required yarn from your LYS or at Shibui Knits.
