I designed this baby blanket when I was expecting my first baby. At the time I didn’t know if my baby was going to be a boy or a girl, so I wanted a gender-neutral design that would be suitable. The embossed ducks are bobbing on the waves of the Old Shale pattern providing lots of different textures for your little babe to touch and discover.

The pattern is written to fit a pram or a crib perfectly, but to increase the size you can add extra length by adding extra repeats of the following two patterns. Please bear in mind that you will require additional balls of yarn if you are making a larger version.

Requirements:
3 balls of Peter Pan Merino Baby DK in 3033 (blue)
3 balls of Peter Pan Merino Baby DK in 3031 (cream)
(or your favourite and softest yarn)
1 pair of 4.5mm knitting needles (or size required)
Tapestry needle
