PDF knitting pattern for a pair of fingerless mitts/gloves with ducklings in various sizes on both tops and palms.

The mitts in the photographs were knitted using Yeoman Yarns Sport 4ply wool in dark bluey-grey. The ducklings are in yellow-mix Rowan Fine Tweed with legs and beaks in rust-mix. Their eyes are plain black 4ply wool.

The gloves could be knitted in any 4ply weight wool, cashmere or cotton.

The motifs are knitted using the intarsia method, but the mitts could be knitted in plain stocking stitch and the pattern added afterwards using duplicate stitch/Swiss darning.

The pattern comprises of charts for both left and right mitt, using symbols to show the duck design, together with typed knitting instructions.

The approximate measurements for the mitts are: 8.5cm/3.25” wide (unstretched and not counting the thumb), 13cm/5” long from top of rib to cast-off edge and 2.5cm/1” long rib. The mitts could be made slightly larger or smaller by altering the size of the needles.
